Where is the camp located?

Is Camp Kahili ACA accredited?

Camp Kahili is an ACA member.

Does your camp have a distinct philosophy and core values?

We follow the “iLEAD way” of “Free to Think. Inspired to Lead.”

My teen has dietary restrictions and/or allergies. Can you help?

There are limited options on the island. We will accommodate if at all possible. Please contact us at info@campkahili.org.

Who are your summer staff?

We hire experienced educators.

How are they trained ?

We have a Camp Kahili training each year.

Where do most of your campers come from?

Many of our campers come from the mainland and from the islands. We also have campers from all over the world.

What age group do you serve?

Camp Kahili is for students currently in 6th-11th grades who will be entering 7th-12th grade in the fall of 2021. (Ages 13-18.)

Can you tell me about your camp’s medical team?

We will have a health aide on duty at all times.

Can my child call home or email while at camp?

There is extremely limited cell service at camp, and we encourage campers to leave cell phones at home. Parents will be provided with Kahili’s phone number and email and will be able to reach a staff member 24/7 while your camper is at camp. If a camper brings their cell phone, we reserve the right to confiscate their cell phone should we determine it is diminishing the quality of the camp experience for the camper and/or fellow campers. All electronics (tablets, laptops, video games, etc.) besides a cell phone are prohibited at Camp Kahili.

Will the camp contact me in the event of an emergency?

Yes. We are experienced educators who are trained to care for campers. We will contact parents in a timely manner.

My child is nervous about flying to Kauai. Can you tell them what it will be like?

If they are flying with our group, an adult will accompany them. If your child will be traveling alone, we will make arrangements to welcome them at the airport.

What are the accommodations?

Campers will stay in cabins with adult supervision.

Do I need to send extra spending money?

It’s not necessary, but campers may want to bring money for souvenirs in the airport. For spending money, we suggest bringing $150-200 or so.

What are my payment options?

Credit card, e-check, or check by special arrangement.

With early enrollment, yes. If you are registering 30 days prior to camp, please contact us at info@campkahili.org.
